February Fun this Half Term

There’s lots of fun activities for all the family to enjoy this February half term at Parc Bryn Bach!

Cave and Climb will be available Monday to Friday from 11.30am - 3.30pm (weather permitting). This activity is suitable for children aged 4+ and includes 15 minutes to explore our special on-site caving unit and 4 ascents up the climbing wall. it’s £4 for one activity or £7 for both. No booking is necessary, simply pay on the day.

Scale the heights and join our adventure activity team for an Off-Site Activity Day on Thursday, 27th February at a near-by indoor climbing centre. Activities will include indoor climbing, indoor bouldering, abseiling and indoor high ropes, all with support and expert tuition from our team.  The activity day is £25 per person (which includes return transport from Parc Bryn Bach) and is suitable for ages 8 - 14 years. New for February half term, we also have mountain bike hire available! Simply book online here to hire one of our new Giant Talon 4 hardtail mountain bikes to explore the park and our free mountain bike trail. It’s just £10 for 45 minutes. Bikes are available in 3 sizes; X Small (for people 155cm - 166cm), Small (for people 163cm - 172cm) and Medium (for people 169cm - 179cm).

Visitors to the park can also enjoy our children’s play area, which is open daily from 8.30am - 5.30pm and is FREE to access. The play area is inspired by its beautiful surroundings and designed to encourage children to play freely and use their imagination. Watch your children crawl over bridges to the treetop village, walk along the river and enjoy the flowers and musical chimes. 

Our park is a designated Local Nature Reserve, so while exploring our lakeside trail, be sure to enjoy our FREE wildlife sculpture trail which features some of the local wildlife that you may find at the park. When you spot one of our beautiful wooden sculptures, simply scan the QR code and Dylan the Duck will tell you some interesting information about each of his friends.

Visitors can also join the world’s largest FREE treasure hunt, by seeking out the geocaching sites hidden within the park! Discover hidden goodies by following coordinates provided by geocaching.com  - simply create an account on their website, or download the app, and a world of discovery awaits you. All you need is a smart phone or GPS-enabled device and a sense of adventure - and don’t forget a pen to log your treasure! 

Explorers can hire a pedal-powered go-kart to tour the park, offering a safe, smooth ride around our accessible lakeside path on either a single, double or four seater go kart. Book go-kart hire online here for a 45 minute session. Please note that children must be aged 5+ for the two and four-seater go karts and 12+ for the single seat go karts.

If you’re feeling competitive, why not challenge your friends and family to a game of mini golf! Our 12-hole course is situated conveniently just outside the visitor centre, where you can purchase tokens and pick up the equipment for just £4.50 per person or £15 for a family/group of four - simply ask at our reception desk.

For those wanting to practice their golf swing, our driving range is open Saturday to Thursday 9am - 4.30pm and Fridays 9am - 6.30pm. Tokens can be purchased in the visitor centre or with a credit/debit card at the driving range and prices are: 40 balls (1 Token) for £4.30, 80 balls (2 tokens) for £6.15, 120 balls (3 tokens) for £7.25 and 200 balls (5 tokens) for £11.00.

During your visit, be sure to stop by our cosy Lake View Café to enjoy lunch or a snack between adventures. It’s open Monday to Thursday 9am - 5pm, Friday 9am - 7pm, Saturday and Sunday 9am - 5pm and is dog friendly, so if you’re visiting with your four legged friend, you can bring them inside to enjoy a treat as well.

If you’re driving to visit us this half term, we have several car parks on site, all of which are FREE to use, and feature designated disabled spaces. Fast electric charging is also available at the park, we have two Electric Vehicle Charge Points (EVCP) located in the small car park at the rear of the visitor centre.
