Environmental Volunteer Day

  • Parc Bryn Bach Merthyr Road Tredegar, Wales, NP22 United Kingdom (map)

Join the Blaenau Gwent Council Biodiversity Team and other volunteers to carry out essential woodland management works around the park that will include thinning works, coppicing works and creation of habitat piles.

All tools will be provided, but please bring your own pair of work/gardening gloves.

These activities will go ahead in all weathers, so please wear appropriate clothing such as waterproof clothing/sturdy boots or footwear/wellies/hats etc.

If a volunteer day is to be cancelled due to adverse weather conditions, you will be notified at the earliest opportunity.  We will still be following some Covid safety procedures to ensure you stay safe such as social distancing, hand sanitizing, cleaning of tools and wearing of masks when we have to work in close proximity due to health and safety reasons.

If you would like to get involved, please email Nadine.morgan@blaenau-gwent.gov.uk or Kay.eversfield@blaenau-gwent.gov.uk as you will need to complete and return a volunteer form.
