Wellbeing Workhubs

Parc Bryn Bach’s Wellbeing Workhub and Wellbeing Meetinghub

work in nature

As more and more people work from home or wish to commute less to their office, the Welsh Government is encouraging more of us to work remotely, and the Wellbeing Hubs are one of the facilities funded by the Welsh Government through the Valleys Regional Park.

The government’s desire is to encourage more people in Wales to work remotely, which will benefit local economies, businesses, individuals, and the environment.  The opportunity to work from home means you have more flexibility to achieve a greater work-life balance, reduce your stress levels and your commuting costs whilst being closer to nature and being better for the environment.

The Wellbeing workhubs …

If you’re tired of working from the spare room or kitchen table or engaging with colleagues online or spending precious time on a train or in a car commuting, why not try working from the Wellbeing Hubs?  You’ll get a warm welcome from our team, have amazing views and environment to inspire you and delicious sustenance that can be purchased from our Lake View café.

It’s free to use for individuals …

There is no restriction on the amount of time you can spend in the hub and all visitors will have access to free Wi-Fi.  Please note that we will require you to register for the Wi-Fi when you log on and provide general details which will be retained for monitoring purposes only.  The Wellbeing Workhub is accessed on a first-come, first-serve basis and is to be used by individuals only. We do request that all users of the Wellbeing Workhub purchase any refreshments from the cafe in the visitor centre and unfortunately only assistance dogs are allowed in both of the hubs.

Lock up your laptop …

Fancy a stroll around the lake or a bite to eat in the Lake View café?  No problem. There are laptop lockers in the Wellbeing Workhub which are free for you to use so you can store your laptop safely.

Simply request a key from reception in the visitor centre when you arrive.  You’ll be asked to fill out a short form confirming your contact details, just in case we need to get in touch, and return the key at the end of your visit.  Please be assured, we shred your contact details once the key is returned.

The Wellbeing Workhub is open:

Monday – Friday – 09.00am – 17.00pm

Please note bank holiday opening hours may vary.  Please check at reception.
