We deliver a diverse range of activities that provide fantastic outdoor education opportunities for Year 4 and above.  Our location means that we are perfectly placed to plan and organise outdoor education days to suit your needs with the focus on developing new skills and an understanding and respect for the natural environment.

Our outdoor education days link directly into the national curriculum at all key stages.  These range from a full day or two day’s activity, a half-day activity or a one- or two-hour activity session which can fit into your timetable.

Residential Trips

Our newly refurbished bunkhouse provides the perfect location for students to stay whilst exploring the great outdoors. We deliver a number of residential activities, both on-site and off-, that promote confidence and social and emotional awareness, enable students to learn new skills and enjoy the great outdoors and ensure all students learn about personal and group safety.

Duke of Edinburgh’s Awards

At Parc Bryn Bach we have over 19 years’ experience of delivering structured outdoor activity programmes for bronze, silver, and gold Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) expeditions, tailored to suit the needs and abilities of a wide range of students, providing them with the essential skills needed for their development.

Our qualified expedition leaders deliver walking and SUP expeditions for all DofE award levels.

Duke of Edinburgh Leaders + Mountain Hill Skills

TRaining course

This course has been developed for school teachers, youth leaders and anyone involved with the delivery of the Duke of Edinburgh awards. During the course we will provide you with the training and latest knowledge of what to teach and the topics to cover with Duke of Edinburgh candidates.  We’ll also cover the mountain training approved hill skills course so that leaders will have a greater understanding of what to teach and improve personal skills. 

At the end of the course you will be provided with teaching cards and detailed information of how to structure the training so that your groups will be better equipped to progress through the Duke of Edinburgh scheme.

General information

All our activities are approved by AALA (Adventure Activities Licensing Authority) to ensure safety and quality of service, which includes the provision of all safety equipment. Our dedicated team of adventure activity instructors will ensure that your group has a safe and enjoyable experience as they work toward their Duke of Edinburgh Award, providing lots of great memories for years to come.

As an Approved Activity Provider (AAP) for the Duke of Edinburgh Awards we can help you to organise your expeditions on land or water, from walking and biking to canoeing and kayaking.
